About Gloria
Gloria Coppola, LMBT #6902 has been in the healing arts profession for almost 25 years and gifted all her life. In 2011 she will be inducted into the Massage Hall of Fame.
The former owner of a massage school and holistic center, she has also written course curriculum for many schools across the U.S. She is a nationally approved ce provider for continuing education courses.
Many years ago, Gloria, being ahead of her time, hosted a holistic expo to "Bridge the Gap" of traditional and alternative medicine. Hundreds of people lined up before the hotel was opened. Thousands gathered and cried with humble gratefulness for this forum. She continued over the years to host many holistic expo's in her region. Her background working in medical fields gave her an understanding and wisdom of what we needed to heal. Her studies in holistic health and healing confirmed what she knew to be truth in her soul.
Gloria has trained in many modalities, including cranio sacral therapy, chakra's, myofascial release, deep tissue methods and lomilomi to name just a few. She is also a reiki master. She provides specialized courses in medical massage due to her expertise at schools and massage facilities, in addition to teaching Lomi courses around the U.S.
"My life has been dedicated to learning all I can. Always inquisitive and searching. I have known things that I cannot explain. I feel blessed now as an elder, that my journey has taught me well and helped me to be a more compassionate person".
Since childhood, Gloria has been drawn to anything and everything hawaiian and Egyptian. It was always her dream to visit both places. That dream came true at a very difficult time in her life. Egypt was an adventure that helped her to understand life and death. Later that year, she was drawn to Kauai to heal. She never imagined living there.
Gloria lived on Kaua'i for 7 years. While there she studied temple style hawaiian lomi and she also had the privilege to spend some time with a local family aka 'Ohana and study the hawaiian traditions with their kumu. As part of her hawaiian shamanic journey, she was invited to an ancient ceremony that very few 'outsiders' are ever invited to participate in with the elders. Gloria continues to study the principles of the huna and holds this sacred work very close to her heart. She knows the honor and privilege that has been given to her. The divine love that blesses her heart with each treatment or training fills her with gratitude.
Gloria has much respect for the styles and traditions that are handed down from the elders. She has continued to study about Aunty Margaret, Kahu Abraham, Mary Pukui, Nana Veary and other healers that have contributed to the wisdom and knowledge of healing.
Living on kaua'i changed her life in many ways, as did her heart. Today, she shares her life teachings and insights with those attracted to her trainings. She is also known for providing a safe and nurturing space for your healing process.
In addition, she studied under Caroline Myss PhD and Anodea Judith PhD. She travelled to Egypt and Peru and other sacred sites on the hawaiian islands. She has authored many massage articles in a variety of holistic and massage magazines and Future LMT, over the course of the last 18 years.
Gloria has a long history of studying ancient traditions, Gestalt therapy, dream work, somato emotional release, shamanism, breathwork, transpersonal studies, herbal medicine, Egyptology, metaphysics & more. As a result of her travels, she has participated with shamans in Egypt, Peru and Kauai and participated in Rites of Passage ceremonies that have opened gates of knowledge for her to share to her students.
She has participated throughout her adult life in many powerful healing workshops and ceremonies since the 1980's. Today, she continues her studies in naturopathy and huna studies... always delving deeper into her own spiritual journey. Nature is her mentor and her healer.
She has the ability to tune into her higher wisdom and the wisdom of the ancestors. She is continually guided in her life and in her trainings.
"I am hear to learn all I can and share my gifts with others.
I am an eternal student and very blessed".
Gloria will be inducted into the Massage Hall of Fame in 2011
in W. No. Carolina to honor all her contributions to the field of massage.
