LomiLomi Introductory Classes
If you have been interested in Lomi, however you are not sure if you are ready for the intensive traditional training or don't have time yet; perhaps this introduction to this sacred art is the class for you.
Introductory classes are generally 2 day workshops that introduce you to the principles of the huna and hawaiian massage.
The training is designed to give you an overview of what to expect when you decide you are ready to commit on a deeper level.
Lomi is more than massage. It is a path to the discovery of self. It is a connection with Divine and all that is Sacred. It is love.
The two day workshop introduces you to the forearm techniques so popular in the prone position. You will practice using your forearm along the back and legs. In addition you will practice one of the ancient dances that is integral in learning lomi. It will assist you in the fluidness and gracefulness so often admired when witnessing a lomi session. This dance provides for much more than you will even be aware at first.
Many students have asked about the draping techniques and what is required. Please know and understand that while limited draping may be applied, one must always drape their client to their level of comfort and security.
The principles of the huna are very necessary elements of Lomi. In this workshop we will explore the basic concepts of these principles. In the intensive courses we delve deeper into these principles and exercises are provided for you to practice on a regular basis.
The Breath of Ha is the life force, the element of God and all that is. We learn about the use of Ha and connecting to the forces or ancient ones that guide us in our healing sessions.
Lomi is not something you learn in a few days. This basic outline gives you a great sense of the depth and transformation that is possible when giving and receiving this work.
If you feel you are ready to explore this traditional healing method I have arranged for a few Introductory classes for your exploration.
