Lomi Residential Retreats

How do I prepare for the lomi training and retreats?

I have prepared these residential trainings in mind to heal ourselves as well.
Meals will aid in your healing

  1. At least 2 months prior begin eating lighter meals, healthier, preferably vegetarian (or no red meat)
  2. Meditate daily
  3. Take walks in nature
  4. Ask yourself: "Who am I"?
  5. Why are you embarking upon this journey?

What do I need to bring?

  1. Sheets for practice
  2. 2 small hand towels
  3. A yoga mat or beach towel or blanket
  4. An item for our lomi alter for infusion of Aloha (you will take it home with you)
  5. A gift for the lomi alter. Ex. poem, flower, rock etc. It is an offering of gratitude to the aumakua for gratitude.
  6.  Open Heart


Will I be able to contact
my family and colleagues?

We ask that you do not after your arrival. Try to eliminate or limit your contact with the outside world.  Please inform all your connections to honor this as well.

What is Ohana style?

  1. Ohana is your new family
  2. We live and share as family
  3. Eat together
  4. Learn together
  5. Share together
  6. Sleep together, shared rooms and often King/Queen beds

What is Ho'oponopono?

Ho'oponopono is the hawaiian tradition of Making Things Right, bring harmony. Traditionally, families would meet at the elders house and discuss what is bothering them or stressing them. Ohana would listen with compassion and open heartedness until resolution had occurred.



What time is class?


We begin our classes early in the am with yoga or
stretching exercises. Usually around 7:30 am

Classes begin promptly following

Do not attach yourself to time
We often work into the evenings

There will be an evening for a Rites of Passage Ceremony/Initiation
